Testosterone Vitamins for Bodybuilders

There are many supplements available today which help in boosting testosterone levels in men. Many supplements help not only in production of the hormone but also they help to support the glands which are responsible for hormone production in the endocrine system. Two of the many glands are hypothalamus and pituitary gland. Testosterone hormone production, function and maintenance is completely controlled by these two glands.

All about Vitamins:

Being responsible for male characteristics, testosterone is mainly considered as a male hormone. Some of the male characteristics like deep voice, libido, and sperm production, maturation of the genetics, body hair growth, and facial hair growth are controlled by testosterone hormone. When it comes to musculoskeletal wellness and health testosterone plays an important role in this.

There are many vitamins to increase testosterone. Even though it is produced in male testes, the control of when it should be manufactured or synthesized is not in its hand. The synthesis of testosterone is instructed by pituitary gland and it receives these instructions from hypothalamus. These two glands are located in the brain. Since it controls maintenance and functions of almost all endocrine glands, pituitary gland is known as the master gland in the human body.

When testosterone level goes low in the body, hypothalamus sends instructions to pituitary gland. In the form of luteinizing hormone pituitary gland transfers this message to the testes to produce testosterone hormone in the body.

So the testosterone hormone’s normal level is directly related to healthier hypothalamus and pituitary gland. The process of production of testosterone is really complicated. The factors that directly influence the production of testosterone are any disease, dysfunction, and injury that results in malfunction of hypothalamus, pituitary gland or testicles.

Low testosterone side effects:

There are few symptoms through which one can get to know that they have low testosterone in their body. Some of them are depression, mood swings, increased body fat, loss of muscle tone, low sperm count, loss of muscle mass, mobility, unable to obtain and maintain erection, and lack of libido.

An individual can visit the doctor and under go very simple blood test to determine the testosterone level in the body. There will be a standard for level of testosterone in the body which is considered normal based on age. If the level falls below this then it is considered as low level. If it is the case then one can first go for natural methods to improve testosterone levels. If they don’t help then there are drug therapies which can help them.

Some of the natural ways to increase testosterone levels are use of foods that comes with nutrients responsible for testosterone production or one can also choose dietary supplements. Improving the levels also depend on age, lifestyle and health condition as well.

Testosterone and vitamins:

There are varieties of supplements available today which help to boost the testosterone production in the body. But one should do lot of research before buying them especially on their effectiveness and side effects.

Reliance Jio Interconnectivity Woes: TRAI Recommends Rs. 3,050 Crores Fine on Airtel, Vodafone, Idea

Reliance Jio Interconnectivity Woes: TRAI Recommends Rs. 3,050 Crores Fine on Airtel, Vodafone, Idea

  • Airtel, Vodafone, Idea accused of denying Jio interconnectivity
  • The trio are said to be non-compliant with licence conditions
  • Fine of Rs. 50 crores per telco per circle recommended to DoT

In a setback to incumbent telecom operators, sector regulator TRAI on Friday suggested imposing Rs. 3,050 crores penalty on Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea for allegedly denying interconnectivity to newcomer Reliance Jio.

TRAI, in its recommendation to the Department of Telecom, said it has found the trio to be non-compliant with licence conditions and service quality norms given the high rate of call failures and congestion at interconnectpoints for Reliance Jio.

It also noted that denial of interconnection by these operators to Reliance Jio “appears to be with the ulterior motive to stifle competition and is anti-consumer”.

As per TRAI’s recommendation, the penalty for Airtel and Vodafone works out to about Rs. 1,050 crores each, while in case of Idea Cellular it comes to about Rs. 950 crores. The regulator stopped short of recommending cancellation of their telecom licences saying it may lead to “significant consumer inconvenience”.

The recommendation came on complaint by Reliance Jio that over 75 percent of calls on its network are failing as incumbents were not giving sufficient points of interconnect that would help complete calls.

TRAI in a detailed letter to the DoT Secretary said the action of the three incumbent operators was “against public interest”.

When contacted, an Airtel spokesperson said, “We are continuously augmenting the PoIs provided to Reliance Jio and pace of augmentation has been the fastest ever done by us. Further we are in full compliance of the requirements of grade of service set by TRAI.”

Vodafone and Idea did not immediately offer any comment on the TRAI recommendation. Emails sent to Reliance Jio too remained unanswered.

Lashing out at the erring operators, TRAI went to the extent of saying that the non-compliance of licence terms and condition “warrants” recommendations for revocation of licence.

“However, the authority is mindful of the fact that revocation of the licence will entail significant consumer inconvenience and therefore in view of the larger public interest involved, the authority recommends a penal action of Rs. 50 crores per LSA (circle)…,” it said.

The regulator has recommended penalty of Rs. 50 crores each for 21 of the 22 circles of Bharti Airtel and Vodafone (except J&K).

In case of Idea, it has recommended penalty of Rs. 50 crores each for 19 circles where the operator provides services.

Jio has accused incumbent operators of providing less than required points of interconnections (PoIs) needed for its users to complete calls to rivals’ network, while operators charged the newcomer of unleashing a “tsunami” of free traffic on their networks.

Interconnection enables mobile users to make calls to customers of other telecom networks and is, therefore, crucial for smooth functioning of mobile services.

In a statement issued on September 23, Jio had alleged that over 12 crore calls failed daily between Jio and the networks of Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea.

As per quality of service rules, not more than five calls in 1,000 should fail due to network congestion.

Late last month, as row between incumbents and newcomer Reliance Jio escalated, TRAI intervened and issued show-cause notices to operators for call drops far exceeding the norm. It had given the incumbent operators ten days to explain why action should not be initiated against them for violation of service quality norms.

In its reply to TRAI, Idea said that the show cause notice is “defective, invalid, and premeditated” and reason for poor service quality is solely because of Reliance Jio. Airtel said that the notice was premature and it is making effort to augment interconnection.

Vodafone cited inconsistent calculation made by Jio and delay on its part among reason for the row.

The regulator has given a deadline of October 17, 2016, to mobile operators to resolve the matter so that customers do not experience poor quality of service.

TRAI has observed high level of congestion in telecom networks leading to call failure on Reliance Jio’s network.

Qualcomm Said to Be Near $37 Billion Deal to Buy NXP Semiconductors

Qualcomm Said to Be Near $37 Billion Deal to Buy NXP Semiconductors

Qualcomm Inc is nearing a deal to acquire NXP Semiconductors NV for around $37 billion (roughly Rs. 2,47,583 crores), a person familiar with the matter said on Friday, as the US company seeks to expand the reach of its chips from phones to cars.

The deal would make San Diego-based Qualcomm, which supplies Android smartphone makers and Apple Inc, a bigger supplier to the automotive industry as it grapples with slowing smartphone sales and stiff competition from Chinese and Taiwanese rivals.

The acquisition of NXP by Qualcomm for $110 per share in cash could be announced within days, although there is always a possibility of a last-minute glitch, the source said, asking not to be identified because the negotiations are confidential.

Qualcomm and NXP did not immediately respond to requests for comment. CNBC first reported that the companies were nearing a deal for $110 per share.

NXP shares dropped 2.5 percent on the news to $101.90, while Qualcomm shares were up 2.2 percent to $68.77, indicating that the terms were seen by investors as more favorable to Qualcomm than previously expected.

Qualcomm had sat out the transformative consolidation sweeping the industry, which has seen mega-deals such as Avago buying Broadcom for $37 billion last year.

Qualcomm gets the bulk of its revenue from chip sales but most of its profit comes from wireless patents it licenses to the mobile industry. It explored a plan to break up its chip business from its patent licensing unit after pressure from activist investor Jana Partners but decided to remain whole.

Qualcomm ranked third in terms of revenue among global semiconductor companies in 2015, while Eindhoven, Netherlands-based NXP ranked No. 7, according to research firm IHS.

Misfit Phase Watch-Cum-Activity-Tracker Launched in India Starting

Misfit Phase Watch-Cum-Activity-Tracker Launched in India Starting at Rs. 12,550Fossil acquired Misfit Wearables last year but the latter’s products post acquisition did not show any involvement by the watch-maker. However, the company’s latest product, Misfit Phase, seems to show the union between the two companies perfectly by combining the fitness tracking capabilities of Misfit, with the analog watch design of Fossil. The wearable will start from Rs. 12,550 in India when it will be made available for pre-order on November 7.

Misfit Phase is an interesting wearable as it is neither a complete fitness tracker, as it lacks some features like heart-rate sensor, nor is it comparable to a high-end smartwatch as it doesn’t support apps. The wearable essentially tries to get the best out of both these categories and provides fitness tracking capabilities along with notifications from your smartphone.

As per the company, the battery on Misfit Phase lasts for up to six months, after which you are required to replace it, as it is not chargeable. Misfit sports a minimalist design with a round dial and aluminium finish. It comes with options of leather and silicone for straps.
The wearable automatically tracks steps, distance, calories, and light and restful sleep. “Smart-button function allows you to wirelessly play and pause music, take a selfie, control smart home devices, and more,” the company says on its website.

Misfit Phase is priced at Rs. 12,550 for black, silver, and navy & gold colour variants, and Rs. 13,984 for black & rose, rose, and navy & grey models.

Evernote Says Small Number of Mac Users May Have Lost Notes, Offers Premium Subscription

Evernote Says Small Number of Mac Users May Have Lost Notes, Offers Premium Subscription

  • The company says it was only able to restore some lost notes
  • Users with lost notes can attempt to manually restore them
  • Premium users can use the gift code for an additional year of service

A small number of Evernote for Mac users are being sent an email by the company that apologises for a bug that caused data loss in certain types of notes – those featuring images or other attachments. Text notes are said to have remained unaffected. The company is making up for the issue by offering Evernote Premium, which also helps restore missing date from notes by using the premium Note History feature.

The email to users states that a small number of users running versions of Evernote for Mac released in June and September were affected, which is a rather vague description for those worried users who may have lost data in hundreds of notes. However, the company confirmed to TechCrunch that specific versions 453991 (which was available directly from Evernote servers) and 454042 (available from the Mac App Store) were the ones affected, under “specific conditions”.

Evernote in its email tells users to update immediately to the latest version – v6.9.2 (454158 from Evernote and 454159 from the Mac App Store) – to avoid the issue and also prevent any “further loss of data”. The company added that as soon as it discovered the issue it “worked quickly to implement a solution and attempted to restore all lost data”, however, it did not succeed in some cases.

Those users that lost data can manually restore the data by using the Note History feature available to Evernote Premium subscribers, which as we mentioned was also being provided to free users that were affected by the issue via a redemption code. Those users already on Evernote Premium can use the code to buy another year of premium services, or save them as Points to be used at a later point.

The company is telling users to update their Evernote for Mac app via the menu, from where they can navigate to Help > Check For Updates… It adds that users who do not see the option should visit the Mac App Store or the Evernote website to download the latest version of the app.

Of course, the entire debacle is very embarrassing for a note-taking service. Evernote told TechCrunch however that once its recently-begun migration to the Google Cloud platform is complete, such issues will be a easier to prevent and resolve. The full email, with the subject “We’re sorry. Please update Evernote for Mac”, can be seen below.

We have identified a bug in some versions of Evernote for Mac that can cause images and other attachments to be deleted from a note under specific conditions. We believe you are one of a small number of people impacted by this bug.

Please update Evernote on your Mac to the latest version as soon as possible:

From the menu, go to Help > Check For Updates…

If you do not see this menu option, update through the Mac App Store or from our website

The bug can occur in the version of Evernote for Mac released in September, and less frequently in versions released since June. In these versions, certain sequences of events, such as skimming quickly through a large number of notes, can cause an image or other attachments to be deleted from a note without warning. Text in notes is not affected.

Once we identified the problem, we worked quickly to implement a solution and attempted to restore all lost data. Unfortunately, some of your attachments couldn’t be automatically restored. However, you may be able to recover your attachments using Evernote’s note history feature available through Evernote Premium.

We are giving your account one free year of Evernote Premium to make amends and give you access to priority customer support via chat or email. If you already have Premium, the gift code can be used to extend your subscription for one additional year, or banked as Points to use for later.

If you run into any difficulties redeeming your code, follow ….

We understand how important your notes and attachments are, and we apologize. Again, please update your app as soon as possible to prevent any further loss of data.

IBM, Google, Others to Unveil Open Data Centre Interface to Take on Intel

IBM, Google, Others to Unveil Open Data Centre Interface to Take on Intel

  • OpenCAPI will provide a high bandwidth, low latency open interface design
  • Will help speed up big data, machine learning, analytics
  • Consortium plans to make OpenCAPI available before the end of the year

Technology giants IBM Corp, Google and seven others have joined hands to launch an open specification that can boost datacenter server performance by up to ten times, to take on Intel Corp.

The new standard, called Open Coherent Accelerator Processor Interface (OpenCAPI), is an open forum to provide a high bandwidth, low latency open interface design specification.

The open interface will help corporate and cloud data centers to speed up big data, machine learning, analytics and other emerging workloads.

The consortium plans to make the OpenCAPI specification available to the public before the end of the year and expects servers and related products based on the new standard in the second half of 2017, it said in a statement.

Intel, the world’s largest chipmaker, is known to protect its server technologies and has chosen to sit out of the new consortium. In the past also, it had stayed away from prominent open standards technology groups such as CCIX and Gen-Z.

“As artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced analytics become the price of doing business in today’s digital era, huge volumes of data are now the norm,” Doug Balog, general manager for IBM Power, told Reuters.

“It’s clear that today’s datacenters can no longer rely on one company alone to drive innovation,” Balog said.

Advanced Micro Devices Inc, Dell EMC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co, Mellanox Technologies Ltd, Micron Technology Inc, NVIDIA Corp and Xilinx Inc are also members of the the OpenCAPI consortium.

Hyperloop One Raises $50 Million, Hires Former Uber CFO

Hyperloop One Raises $50 Million, Hires Former Uber CFO

Hyperloop Technologies Inc., a Los Angeles-based company building a futuristic transportation system, said it raised $50 million (roughly Rs. 334 crores) in convertible-debt financing and hired Uber Technologies Inc.’s former chief financial officer.

DP World Group of Dubai, one of the world’s largest ports operators, led the funding round, with its chairman and chief executive officer Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem taking a Hyperloop board seat. The company, known as Hyperloop One, has now raised $160 million.

CEO Rob Lloyd, a former Cisco Systems Inc. executive, has made finding a chief financial officer and new strategic partners top priorities since joining the company last year. Hyperloop One already works with organizations such as French railway SNCF and engineering giant Arup Group. The new hire, former Uber CFO Brent Callinicos, will serve as a full-time strategic adviser, the company said in a statement. Previously, he worked as vice president, treasurer, and chief accountant at Google, and also held various roles in finance at Microsoft Corp.

Uber and Hyperloop share an investor in Sherpa Capital’s Shervin Pishevar, who co-founded Hyperloop and is a board observer at Uber.

Hyperloop is working on technology that would use magnetic levitation in low-pressure tubes to transport people and goods at airplane-like speeds. It is battling a lawsuit from former employees whose charges range from defamation to breach of fiduciary duty, and has, in turn, filed counter lawsuits against them.
